To All of Our Supporters!

Grand Roy Pan Angels Steel Orchestra aims to utilize steelpan to create new and meaningful experiences for our members. We do so organizing and participating in events and activities that allow our members to showcase their skills and talents and  acquire life skills such as: decision-making, problem solving, and how to be good team players, for example.

For more than twenty years, Grand Roy Pan Angels has been using steelpan music to educate, entertain and engage people in the village of Grand Roy in the parish of St. John, and beyond. Despite many challenges, we continue to promote steelpan as a vehicle for community mobilization, cultural awareness, and community development.

The primary, annual event that we participate in— is Spicemas. However, to successfully participate and compete in Spicemas festivities require much-needed resources and support. For example:

Operating Costs:

·       Registration fees for Junior and Senior orchestra for Panorama and Pan Xpression

·       Transportation costs to and from events and practice sessions

·       Refreshments for band members

·       Uniforms for Junior and Senior band members (purchasing and printing tee-shirts, etc.)

Personnel costs:

·       Salary for a pan tuner for both Junior and Senior orchestras

·       Salary for a pan arranger

·       Salary for transportation drivers to and from events

·       Lunch stipends for Panorama and Pan-Xpression events and Spicemas related activities

Pan Angels participates in SpiceMas festivities without official sponsorship and, continues to engage, entertain and elevate steelpan music as a cultural art form, thanks to ongoing community support and assistance from Spicemas Corporation.

We are keenly aware that many organizations are in need of financial support during these uncertain times, and if you decide to support one organization this year—we hope you will consider supporting Grand Roy Pan Angels Steel Orchestra.

Your sponsorship is an invaluable investment in the lives and future of young people in Grand Roy and Grenada and will preserve and promote steel pan music as an important art form for many generations to come.

Warmly,

Sandra Combs-Patterson,

President, Grand Roy Pan Angels
